Thanks for visiting Thatch's webpage! Visit HARDWEB (that's my business).
I live in Surfers Paradise in Australia. I was 37 when I last updated this page and now I am 44, married, no children and still into surfing, computers, cosmology, graphic art, enjoying good people and working on webpages..but not really rugby as much.
Here is a video of me and my wife Sue in New York in May 2007, it is pretty bad
Archive of previous covers (the surf story) and my Olympic coverage

Cilick for very funny interview with Posh Spice and BeckhamTism devotee
Ali G photo leads to the classic interview with Posh Spice and David Beckham.
Tism tattoo leads to discography.
Greg Egan is my favourite SF author at the moment and he is an Aussie!
He seriously blows most other writers out of the water with his manipulation of the cutting edge scientific developments and how they may affect this planet and it's inhabitants.
Check his page here and while I am promoting some home grown talent, designer Marc Newson
is going to be huge because he is so good, check his designs furniture, planes, egg cups and automobiles.

toilet Kitchen bench
I splashed out on the towel thing around the toilet today very exciting.
The dolphins are gone from the benchtop but you can still see them above the cannisters. The replacement is a Japanese anime design (I use book covering stuff, it lasts about a year)
Two of my surfboards
The board on the left is a Darren Handley Designs (DHD) 6'6" that I have on permanent loan from Adam, it is an excellent board. The Liberty is a 6'4" made by Rod Morgan and goes well in good surf, both are locally shaped and made.

Tank girl
Tank Girl adorns my kitchen window. I painted her on with special paint that Kara gave me
The fridge hasnt changed much sex wax labels, Edie Sedgwick, Munga and MP (local heroes) etc.
Prince Planet
Prince Planet was my brother and my favourite cartoon when we were about 4 or 5. Priiiiinnnnnncccee PLANET!

Here is Sue and I in New York in May 2008, hey good web design! (not)

The world's funniest joke
Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy whips out his phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps: "My friend is dead! What can I do?" The operator says: "Calm down, I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead." There is a silence, then a shot is heard. Back on the phone, the guy says: "OK, now what?"
Here are Vanette and Mick Trout (without their four lovely girls) down from Palm Cove (near Cairns) at a Billy and Jess Freeman Dinner party in June 2001.
